Jerry and Melanie
Welcome to our page. Jerry and I got married in May of 2005. We have four great kids. We spend as much time together as we can...even if we drive each other nuts on a regular basis!! We love the summer because it means lots of camping and BBQing almost everything we eat! I am a stay at home mom (and I LOVE IT) and I design websites on the side, check me out at www.webdesignsbymellie.weebly.com ...Jerry works for AVC Solutions, doing too much to describe here! You can see what he does at www.avcsolutionsmt.com ....AVC is also on Facebook and Myspace!

Romantic Trip To Yellowstone
Happy Valentines Day!
Jerry and I had a bit of an unconventional Valentines Day. Instead of going out on the town and being alone, we stayed home with the kids. Aimee made a wonderful dinner for us...complete with a very nice setting...and then we watched movies all night. It was a wonderful day with the three people I love most!
Sledding at Carroll College
Jerry and I took the kids sledding on THE hill to sled here in town. We both went down once. That was enough for me. We both almost flew off the sled...and I had to get help getting back up the hill! It was fun...but way too much work for a short a ride!!
Happy Birthday to Mel
So...my birthday was on the 11th. We went to Chilis with all my favorite people...Jerry, Aimee, Jacob, Mom, Dad, Heather, and Brent...I got great cards, another snowman thing from my parents (an adorable stocking holder), and a Wii!! Who says video games are for kids??
Jerry Hangs an Ornament
Jerry got home from work and helped the kids decorate the Christmas tree!
Jerry and I at Georgetown Lake
On our way home from Phillipsburgh (we took the scenic route) we stopped at Georgetown Lake. One of the things about Montana...there are so many places to see and you can take a one day drive and have so many places to stop along the way!!
New Hair Color
Okay, so here I am outside a cafe in Phillipsburgh but that isnt why this picture is here. I got bored Saturday and a little too close to the hair dye isle....two dangerous things...and tahdah...I now have "Cherry Chocolate" colored hair!!
Jerry Reading...
Now, Jerry reading isnt all that unusual...what he was reading is the kicker...."The Big Ass Book of Shots"...every shot you can think of...yup!
Me in a cowboy hat in Phillipsburgh
Our second weekend in a row of leaving town and spending some time together. We headed to Phillipsburgh for the day...Jerry seems to like how I look in a cowboy hat!
Yellowstone National Park
Chapter two of our weekend getaway started Saturday after the caverns and ended Sunday evening when we FINALLY made it home...600 miles later!! After the caverns Jerry surprised me by taking me to West Yellowstone. We spent the evening playing tourist in the town and then woke up Sunday morning and did the tourist thing in the park. We hit all the big spots....like Old Faithful, the Mud Pots, and (my fav) Mammouth Springs.
Lewis & Clark Caverns
One chapter one of our recent weekend getaway Jerry and I went to the Lewis & Clark Caverns here in Montana. They are less than 2 hours from our home. When you get there you have a 2/3 mile hike to the entrance. The tour itself is about 2 hours long. The caverns are gorgeous...but it is only about 58* inside...so even in the summer you have to wear sleeves!
The Symphony Under the Stars
Every year here in Helena the local Symphony puts on a free performance for the community. There are seats that you can pay for right up front, but everything else is..."come throw down a blanket and enjoy". People start putting their blankets out the night before to ensure the spots they want. This years theme had to do with the solar system and Astronaut Dr. Buzz Aldrin was the special guest. He narrated the story of the planets while the symphony played music for each planet. Then there was an intermission and the symphony played songs from Superman, E.T., and Star Wars. The last two minutes of the Star Wars they set off a HUGE fireworks display. The entire event costs about $160,000 each year and is done completely on donations. We are absolutely taking the kids to see this next year!! Also, they symphony is local and the highschool kids do have the opportunity to attempt to play with the symphony for this...which means in a few years Aimee could try out for it to play her Cello...she really liked that idea!!
Jerry on the 4th of July
I could have put a picture on Jerry bbqing on the 4th...but there is only one thing that he loves more than doing that...FIREWORKS! Here is is handing out the fireworks from the back of my dads truck to their prospective fuse lighters!
Us at the Brewers Game
Here is a pic of Jerry and I at the local Brewers game! We had a great time...and the kids were hysterical!
New Hair Cut
So, I got pissed off at my hair a few weeks ago and decided to get it cut. Well, I cut TEN inches off and I LOVE it!! It is sooo much lighter...no more headaches when I wear my hair down....did I mention I LOVE it???
Getting in the Car
Jacob took a picture of me getting in the car after Jacobs game...it was a little chilly so we had the hoods on and all to help break the wind!
The Easter Remote
Okay, so we are definetly a gadget family. Jerry got this remote for the living room. It has a touch screen and controls everything at once....with one button for each "activity". It makes the old school "universal remote" a thing of the past. You can buy these little things that make this remote control about everything in your house!! Can you say...meet the Jetsons??
Jerrys Birthday
Well, Jerry doesnt ever really want me to do much for his birthday but WHATEVER!! We did a small family get together with my parents, my aunt, my cousin, the kids, and us. We had a ton of great food and true to tradition Jerry grilled his own dinner. Not because he HAD to but because he wont let anyone else do it! He grilled onion and garlic pork loin...YUMMY!! He got TONS of golf stuff....is anyone really shocked?? My big gift for him was a 30 round punch card since he wouldnt let me get him a full season pass because we wont have that much time on our hands this summer...oh well, he loved it anyway!! Cant you tell??
HAPPY VALENTINES FROM JERRY TO ME!!

So, I went to Heathers Bachelorette Party. It really was fun. I was the designated driver so I didnt drink during any of the games. I made others take my shots for me! We played several games. This is me getting spun for Pin The Cucumber On The Man...we about died laughing at who got it right and who didnt!
Jerry and I on Halloween
Here are Jerry and I at my parents house on Halloween. I was trying really hard to be a mean looking devil...so hard I couldnt stop laughing. Course, my dad wasnt helping matters any!
The Little Devil in Mel
So sue me....I forgot to smile. I am supposed to be the Devil anyway! Aimee said this was appropriate for me..especially before I have had my morning coffee....
Jerry the Punker!
I came home from work and Jerry had shaved his head into a mowhawk, put in two of my earrings, and "borrowed" some black face stuff.....he made a killer Punk Rocker!
Freezing at Soccer
I thought some people might get a kick out of this. Aimee took a picture of me FREEZING my tush off at Jacobs last soccer game. It was way too cold to be out there....but I am a soccer mom so I was!!
Me and My Baby
Here is me and my baby. We had a great time at the Luau. It was important that we did because Jerry will be down there the entire week working. We are spending our first night in three years apart tonight! We will see him again Saturday for one night. Then we will get pick him up the night before we move! I love you honey!
Me at the Luau
Here I am at the Luau...had a BLAST.
Jerry at the Luau
Here is my honey at the Luau. Isnt he handsome??
Jerry and I enjoying the 4th of July
It was a great day of parades, BBQing, fireworks, and family! Jerry and I had a great time! Wish the kids were here though!
Jerry getting ready to blow things up!
So...the 4th of July is Jerrys holiday all the way. It is the one day of the year where he legally gets to blow stuff up!! Setting off fireworks happens to be legal here a few days out of the year directly surrounding this particular holiday...even if we have to buy them outside of city limits! Either way, the 4th of July has Jerrys name written all over it!
Laughing at the world!
After a morning of parades with free ice cream and soda, a BBQ was just what the doctor ordered! Allie caught a pic of me laughing at something...I dont even remember at this point....but who cares! The 4th of July was GREAT!
Jerry and I at The Clintons
The Clintons were in Helena and we went to go see them. Jerry and I ended up on stage...Jerry taking pics and videoing...me just screwing around!! The pics turned out great though!! We had a fantastic time!!!
Jerry videotaping for The Clintons
Jerry got up on stage to do some videotaping for the bands podcast on their website....it was fun watching him work!!
Me on stage with the band!
So, I pulled the "I am a dorky fan" thing and had a blast up on stage!! Hey...I took pics for them while I was there!!
Jerry Playing Ball
Jacobs baseball team had its end of year party. The coaches and the kids played wiffle ball and Jerry thought it would be funny to "steal" third base so the boys couldnt tag it!!
Monster Truck Shows
The day the kids left to go to Pittsburg the Monster Trucks came to town...so Jerry and I decided to white trash ourselves up and head on over!! We had front row seats and got to go practically DEAF while the trucks zipped back and forth throwing dusts EVERYWHERE!!
Golfing.....AGAIN
Jacob got this picture when we took them golfing the day before the kids left for Pittsburg. It is a little off kilter, but actually is really cool looking and very representative of our life!!
Jerrys Birthday
Jerrys birthday this year just so happened to be on the same day that the city golf courses opened for the year. Soooo....we went golfing that day!! Is anyone really surprised???
Mels 32nd Birthday
We had a great dinner with my family on my birthday. I got some beautiful pictures from my parents and a LAPTOP from Jerry!!
